Description:

We’re offering a Clinical Psychologist Trainee position for someone who’s deeply curious about the human mind and passionate about helping others through evidence-based care — no prior experience required, just empathy, ethics, and a willingness to learn. You’ll support licensed psychologists in preparing session notes, researching therapeutic techniques, and maintaining case documentation. We’ll teach you how to observe client behavior respectfully, listen actively, and recognize emotional cues during sessions. You’ll shadow therapy sessions (when appropriate), take observational notes, and participate in post-session discussions. Expect to learn how to build therapeutic rapport, maintain confidentiality, and support clients through vulnerable conversations. You’ll gain exposure to various treatment methods such as CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care, and psychoeducation. You’ll support the preparation of worksheets, feedback forms, and emotional regulation exercises used in sessions. You’ll assist in building treatment plans and tracking client progress through clinical documentation. You’ll also assist in research, journal reviews, or program development for mental health education workshops.

Basic Qualifications:

• Advocate for mental health awareness and destigmatization in your practice or institution.
• Build strong therapeutic relationships based on empathy, trust, and non-judgmental listening.
• Protect client confidentiality at all times and stay informed on relevant legal regulations.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices.
• Document all sessions, treatment plans, and diagnoses in line with legal and ethical standards.

Preferred:

• Familiar with maintaining clinical notes, treatment plans, and outcome tracking in accordance with ethical standards.
• Organized with session scheduling, intake documentation, and referral coordination.
• Can maintain accurate records for case reviews, insurance compliance, or research purposes.
• Wants to grow into roles like Clinical Supervisor, Program Director, or Research Psychologist.
• Willing to coordinate with psychiatrists, social workers, or primary care providers as part of a care team.
