Description:

We’re looking for a diligent and resourceful Online Research Assistant to help gather, analyze, and summarize data for various projects. You’ll be responsible for gathering information from credible online sources, ensuring all findings are relevant and up-to-date. You’ll focus on identifying key trends, insights, and data points that will help our team make informed decisions. Your role will involve extracting insights from large datasets, summarizing findings, and providing actionable recommendations. You’ll ensure all research is up-to-date, cross-referencing multiple sources to ensure accuracy and relevance. You’ll synthesize large amounts of data into clear, concise reports, providing actionable insights for decision-makers. You’ll ensure all research materials are accurate, credible, and up-to-date by carefully verifying sources and facts. You’ll work across a variety of industries and topics, developing expertise in each area to support our diverse needs. You’ll work across a variety of topics, from market research to industry analysis, adapting your approach based on the project.

Basic Qualifications:

• Support content creators or strategists by finding real-life examples, quotes, statistics, or visuals to enrich their work.
• Track emerging trends, competitor activity, or market developments by setting up alerts, feeds, or scheduled checks.
• Assist in building lead lists, contact sheets, or outreach databases by researching names, roles, and emails from trusted tools.
• Above all, treat every task as a puzzle—your job is to find the best, most useful information and package it clearly.
• Be flexible with task formats—some days it’s heavy reading, other days it’s quick validation or fact-checking.

Preferred:

• Familiar with niche databases, LinkedIn search, academic journals, or market data tools.
• Comfortable using Google search operators, databases, and industry-specific sources.
• Can track changes, update files, and keep research organized for collaborative teams.
• Has supported blog writing, business planning, outreach, or product development with research.
• Knows how to fact-check and cross-verify from multiple sources before sharing conclusions.
