Description:

We’re looking for a talented Podcast Editor to join our team and help deliver high-quality audio content for our audience. You’ll be responsible for editing raw podcast recordings, ensuring they are clear, polished, and engaging for our audience. You’ll collaborate with podcast hosts and producers to ensure the final product meets the vision and tone of each episode. You’ll work with raw audio files to eliminate background noise, adjust volumes, and correct any technical issues. You’ll work with audio editing tools to improve pacing, remove filler words, and adjust volume levels for clarity and consistency. You’ll ensure that each episode is formatted and edited to meet the technical requirements of podcast distribution platforms. You’ll collaborate with the creative team to incorporate feedback, ensuring that each episode aligns with the overall vision of the podcast. You’ll assist in preparing promotional clips or highlights to be shared on social media, increasing engagement with the audience.

Basic Qualifications:

• Support multi-track editing, remote recordings, and interviews done via platforms like Riverside, SquadCast, or Zoom.
• Recommend music, jingles, or sound design elements when requested to elevate the brand identity.
• Balance audio levels, apply EQ and compression, and clean up vocals to ensure clarity and consistency across all speakers.
• Help standardize the podcast’s sound—keeping tone, volume, and pacing consistent across episodes and seasons.
• Provide feedback on recording quality and offer tips to improve future audio (mic technique, room setup, etc.).

Preferred:

• Familiar with podcast publishing tools like Anchor, Libsyn, Buzzsprout, or RSS management.
• Thrives in remote, creative environments where collaboration and autonomy coexist.
• Values clarity, warmth, and emotional impact in audio experiences.
• Can export episodes in proper formats and optimize for platforms like Spotify, Apple Podcasts, or YouTube.
• Background or interest in audio production, storytelling, radio, or media.

You’ll organize raw podcast files and edit them efficiently, ensuring that no content is lost in the process. You’ll ensure all episodes are uploaded, including proper tagging, descriptions, and metadata for search optimization. This remote position offers flexibility, allowing you to work from anywhere while creating high-quality podcast content.
