Description:
We’re welcoming a Receptionist Intern who’s ready to gain real-world experience in a professional front desk environment. You’ll begin by observing how experienced staff greet guests, handle calls, and manage a fast-paced reception area. You’ll be coached on how to maintain a calm and helpful tone, even when the phone won’t stop ringing or someone walks in without an appointment. You’ll be responsible for taking clear messages and following up to ensure they reach the right person quickly. You’ll learn to manage appointment calendars, meeting schedules, and visitor logs with accuracy and care. You’ll help organize paperwork, handle light data entry, and support email communication for the front desk. You’ll get comfortable using office equipment like printers, scanners, and phone systems. You’ll practice multitasking — managing walk-ins, calls, and tasks while staying composed and friendly. You’ll develop your ability to stay calm under pressure — whether that’s a crowded lobby or back-to-back phone calls.
Basic Qualifications:
- Follow daily checklists or opening/closing procedures to maintain front desk operations.
- Listen actively and communicate clearly with people from all backgrounds.
- Support other departments with ad hoc tasks or errands to help daily operations run smoothly.
- Direct clients or vendors to the correct office, meeting room, or team member.
- Take pride in creating a front desk experience that feels organized, approachable, and warm.
Preferred:
- Comfortable managing appointments, calendars, and visitor logs with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Willing to support HR, operations, or executive assistants with light clerical tasks when available.
- Background or interest in administration, hospitality, office management, or communication.
- Able to greet guests, answer phone calls, and direct inquiries to the appropriate person or department.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a friendly and professional demeanor.
Benefits:
- Supportive team that always has your back — you’re never left alone to handle everything.
- Mental health support and kindness baked into the team culture.
- Your voice matters — we actually listen when you say “this could be better.”
- No cold calling, selling, or awkward scripts — just real conversations.
- Steady pay, on time, every time — no surprises.
You’ll begin to recognize the patterns of a busy office and how to stay two steps ahead without getting overwhelmed. You’ll support team members by preparing documents, copying files, or helping coordinate meeting rooms as needed. You’ll assist in keeping the reception area clean, organized, and stocked with materials like forms or brochures. You’ll be part of a collaborative workplace where feedback, growth, and mutual respect matter. You’ll learn not just what to say, but how to listen — to guests, colleagues, and your own instincts. This is a great starting point if you’re exploring careers in administration, HR, or hospitality. No suit required — just your curiosity, reliability, and willingness to be a calm, confident presence at the front line. If you’re excited to grow into a future office or hospitality role, this is a great place to start.
