Description:
We’re hiring a Caregiver to provide compassionate support for clients in palliative or end-of-life care — ideal for someone who can offer calm, respectful presence during life’s most delicate moments. You’ll assist clients with everyday tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility, always with sensitivity and respect for their independence. You’ll be trained to follow care plans that may include sensory support, behavioral cues, communication tools, and therapy exercises. You’ll assist with medication reminders and watch for signs of confusion, dizziness, or changes in mood or memory. You’ll help with walking, transferring from bed or chair, and using walkers or canes safely around the home. You’ll assist with checking on breathing patterns, temperature comfort, or medical equipment if required. You’ll assist with gentle housekeeping, meal prep (if needed), and creating a peaceful environment in the client’s space. You’ll monitor cognitive changes gently, helping clients stay mentally active with conversation and light activities. You’ll assist during medical appointments, therapy sessions, or errands by offering support and clear communication.
Basic Qualifications:
- Use equipment like walkers, lifts, or safety rails properly and safely.
- Go the extra mile, whether that’s remembering a favorite meal or just sitting and listening.
- Respond calmly and responsibly in emergencies, calling for help when necessary.
- Communicate clearly and kindly with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Follow hygiene and infection control standards to protect both client and caregiver.
Preferred:
- Organized with tracking routines, monitoring behaviors, and documenting changes for healthcare providers or family members.
- Thrives in nurturing, client-centered environments where patience and care make a real difference.
- Can support individuals with dementia, limited mobility, or chronic conditions with patience and attentiveness.
- Willing to accompany clients to medical appointments, errands, or social outings while ensuring safety and comfort.
- Pays attention to small details like hydration, sleep habits, or emotional changes that may affect well-being.
Benefits:
- Training and development — we provide regular opportunities to learn new skills and techniques that benefit both you and your clients.
- Opportunities to grow — whether through additional training or advancing into a specialized role, we support your career.
- Job security in a field that’s always in demand — people always need care, especially as they age.
- Mentorship opportunities — more experienced caregivers are here to guide you along the way.
- Flexible hours — we understand the importance of balance in caregiving, and we offer shifts that work for you.
You’ll document daily routines, notes, and concerns to keep family or case managers updated. You’ll be expected to work with emotional strength and quiet empathy, even during difficult or sacred moments. You’ll receive mentoring from experienced caregivers who’ve walked this path and can guide you with insight and respect. You’ll follow ethical guidelines that prioritize client dignity, autonomy, and comfort above all. You’ll receive guidance and mentorship from experienced care coordinators who will help you grow into your role. You’ll document care activities gently and discreetly, maintaining privacy for both client and family. No experience is required — just empathy, patience, and a steady presence that makes others feel safe and respected. If you're ready to be part of a child's support system and show up with care every day, we’re ready to train and support you in this journey. If you’re ready to be the quiet guardian through the night, we’re ready to welcome you into overnight caregiving.
