Description:

We’re looking for a creative and skilled Video Editor to join our remote team and produce visually compelling video content. You’ll be responsible for editing video footage, adding effects, and creating final videos that capture the brand’s message and tone. You’ll collaborate with the content team to develop ideas and implement creative strategies to meet business and marketing objectives. You’ll be involved in all aspects of video production, including cutting, trimming, adding effects, sound design, and color correction. You’ll collaborate with the marketing team to develop videos for various platforms, including social media, websites, and email campaigns. You’ll be responsible for ensuring videos are optimized for different platforms and screen sizes to maximize engagement. You’ll add motion graphics, transitions, and text overlays to create visually compelling videos that capture the audience’s attention. You’ll be responsible for managing multiple video projects at once, ensuring deadlines are met without sacrificing quality.

Basic Qualifications:

• Collaborate with content creators, marketers, or clients remotely to understand project goals and deliver on time.
• Adapt your editing style to suit different clients—clean and corporate vs. bold and Gen Z, depending on the brief.
• Help brainstorm new video formats, hook ideas, or editing styles to improve viewer retention and engagement.
• Incorporate feedback with a flexible mindset—tight turnarounds are common, and clarity is key.
• Stay updated with video trends, platform algorithms (YouTube Shorts, TikTok, IG Reels), and viral editing styles.

Preferred:

• Knows how to cut raw footage into polished, platform-ready content efficiently.
• Experience organizing project files, assets, and revisions systematically.
• Able to work with various footage formats, frame sizes, and aspect ratios.
• Can follow brand guidelines and adapt editing style to fit tone and audience.
• Familiar with adding royalty-free music, sound effects, and voiceovers where needed.
