Description:

We’re hiring an Electrician to support the maintenance and repair of electrical systems in commercial buildings — perfect for someone who’s detail-oriented, responsive, and experienced in keeping public spaces powered and safe. You’ll work with high-voltage systems, control panels, motor drives, and automation equipment across heavy machinery and production lines. You’ll assess each situation on-site, identify the root cause, and make safe, temporary or permanent repairs depending on conditions. You’ll be responsible for diagnosing issues like flickering lights, outlet failures, and overloaded circuits in high-use environments. You’ll inspect, diagnose, and repair equipment such as transformers, switchgear, pumps, compressors, and control panels. You’ll communicate clearly with clients under stress, explaining the issue, risks, and repair plan in a calm, professional tone. You’ll ensure proper grounding and bonding of all systems and verify continuity for safety and functionality. You’ll inspect fire alarms, exit signs, and emergency lighting systems to meet safety standards and pass inspections. You’ll perform panel upgrades, install subpanels, and configure circuits for HVAC, EV chargers, or home offices.

Basic Qualifications:

• Understand and install energy-efficient systems such as LED lighting or solar components.
• Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems in residential, commercial, or industrial buildings.
• Diagnose overloaded circuits, shorts, or grounding issues and offer safe solutions.
• Ensure all work complies with national and local electrical codes and safety standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and circuit schematics accurately.

Preferred:

• Willing to communicate clearly with clients, supervisors, and other tradespeople on job sites.
• Capable of working independently or within a larger construction or facilities maintenance team.
• Capable of conducting routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and upgrades to existing systems.
• Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, multimeters, and other electrical testing equipment.
• Able to work under pressure and respond to emergency electrical calls when needed.

You’ll work closely with engineers, safety officers, machine operators, and automation technicians as part of a multidisciplinary team. You’ll follow strict lockout/tagout procedures, arc flash safety standards, and PPE protocols on every job. You’ll rotate between rough-ins, finish installs, inspections, and maintenance work depending on the project stage. You’ll rotate between regular shifts, emergency calls, and after-hours coverage based on building requirements. You’ll be expected to climb ladders, access electrical rooms, and work in hot, loud, or confined environments. You’ll receive support from senior techs and industrial supervisors who will mentor your work on advanced systems. Experience in single-family homes, townhouses, and small apartments is a plus, but not required if you're eager to learn.
