Description:

We’re hiring a Radiologic Technologist Trainee for a small but vital hospital where every role matters and every patient is a neighbor. You’ll train with modern imaging equipment used in emergency rooms, trauma units, and diagnostic labs across the hospital. We’ll show you how to position patients correctly, adjust settings for optimal clarity, and work quickly without sacrificing precision. We’ll teach you the full process — from reading imaging orders and prepping rooms to positioning patients and reviewing results with radiologists. Expect to be part of a team where doctors rely on you for the images that guide treatment, surgery, and life-saving decisions. We’ll show you how to manage your own workflow, set up and clean equipment, and handle diverse patient needs independently. Expect a blend of hands-on learning, detailed technical training, and compassionate patient interaction. You’ll gain confidence in reading orders, adjusting settings, and working alongside physicians, nurses, and radiologists. You’ll develop strong communication skills, because in smaller hospitals, everyone relies on each other more directly.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Recognize when additional images may be needed and act without waiting for a second request.
  • Support a positive, respectful environment in high-pressure clinical settings.
  • Work closely with radiologists and physicians to provide accurate imaging for diagnosis.
  • Help lift or move patients who have limited mobility or are unconscious.
  • Follow proper procedures when using contrast agents, including allergy checks and monitoring.

Preferred:

  • Experience with contrast media safety and assisting in fluoroscopic or interventional procedures is a plus.
  • Able to adapt quickly to workflow changes, patient needs, and time-sensitive imaging requests.
  • Excited to contribute to diagnostic processes that support accurate treatment decisions.
  • Background or degree in radiologic technology, diagnostic imaging, or medical sciences.
  • Thrives in detail-oriented, regulated, and patient-focused healthcare environments.

Benefits:

  • You won’t be invisible here — we recognize the skill it takes to make the invisible visible.
  • Modern equipment that actually works — no fighting with outdated machines or crashing software.
  • Every scan is a mix of science, precision, and people skills — and you’ve got all three.
  • Mental health support and debriefing resources after tough cases.
  • Competitive hourly rates with differentials for evenings, weekends, and holidays.

You’ll learn how to explain procedures clearly, reassure gently, and handle moments that don’t go as planned. Each image you take helps doctors see what can’t be seen — but your care helps patients feel what machines can’t provide. You’ll work in fast-paced environments — hospitals, clinics, trauma rooms — where precision matters and time is critical. You’ll work with patients of all ages, including many elderly folks who count on your clarity and respect. Some days will be quiet, others non-stop — and you’ll learn how to pace yourself and stay steady either way. You’ll become part of a place where patients are treated like people, not just cases — and that starts with you. We value attitude over background, heart over credentials — and we’ll teach you everything you need to succeed. We believe great technologists are trained — not born — and we’re excited to help you get there. If you're ready to build real skills and serve real people in a real community — we’re ready to train you.
