Description:

We’re hiring a dedicated Translation Specialist to join our team and provide accurate, timely translations for various projects. You’ll be responsible for translating written content, audio, and video, ensuring that meaning and context are preserved in the target language. You’ll collaborate with content creators, legal teams, and marketing teams to ensure all translations align with the brand's goals and messaging. You’ll provide timely and high-quality translations, making sure all content is consistent with the tone and intent of the original text. You’ll ensure that your translations are clear, concise, and free of errors, making them suitable for the target audience. You’ll provide proofreading and editing services, ensuring that all translations are error-free and meet client requirements. You’ll work with various languages and specialties, including legal, medical, and technical documents, providing expert knowledge where needed. You’ll stay up-to-date with industry trends, translation best practices, and technological advancements to improve your work.

Basic Qualifications:

• Use CAT tools (e.g., SDL Trados, memoQ, Smartcat) or translation memory systems to improve efficiency and maintain terminology.
• Ultimately, act as a language bridge—making sure that meaning travels across borders without getting lost in translation.
• Deliver translations in the required formats (Word, Excel, HTML, SRT, etc.) while preserving layout and structure.
• Assist with subtitle syncing, transcription, or voiceover scripting when part of multimedia translation projects.
• Support localization efforts by adjusting formatting, layout, or expressions to match cultural and regional expectations.

Preferred:

• Understands how to preserve tone, context, and cultural relevance in translation.
• Familiar with CAT tools like SDL Trados, Smartcat, or Memsource is a plus.
• Able to proofread and edit own work before submission.
• Comfortable working independently in a remote environment and receiving feedback from editors.
• Knows how to prioritize meaning and readability over literal translation when appropriate.

You’ll provide feedback and suggestions for improving translation workflows and processes across the team.
