Description:

We’re hiring a Barista Trainee to join our in-office café team, where consistency, professionalism, and warm service are key to starting the workday right for hundreds of guests. You’ll help set up the coffee truck at different locations — from early morning office spots to weekend markets and events. You’ll assist with prepping ingredients like syrups, milk, and toppings, keeping everything fresh, stocked, and organized. You’ll be trained to take orders quickly, remember regulars, and make every interaction feel personal, even in a rush. You’ll learn how to balance speed with care, delivering drinks quickly without cutting corners on quality. You’ll support keeping the workspace tidy — wiping counters, washing tools, and helping with dish rotation during rushes. You’ll be taught the basics of extraction, mouthfeel, and how water temperature affects flavor. You’ll get familiar with how to pace yourself during busy hours and stay efficient without sacrificing quality or care. You’ll learn how to prep cold brews, batch lattes, and handle bulk drink orders without compromising quality.

Basic Qualifications:

• Upsell pastries, snacks, or merchandise when appropriate without being pushy.
• Stay calm and friendly during busy hours, managing multiple drink orders at once.
• Communicate clearly with coworkers to keep the workflow smooth and orders organized.
• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and espresso-based drinks with consistency and care.
• Support opening or closing tasks like setting up the bar or counting the till.

Preferred:

• Thrives in fast-paced, customer-focused settings where speed meets craft.
• Experience preparing espresso-based drinks, brewed coffee, and specialty beverages in a café or restaurant setting.
• Able to follow drink recipes accurately while offering speed and consistency during high-volume hours.
• Willing to assist with food prep, pastry display, and light cleaning duties during slow periods.
• Able to handle payments, operate POS systems, and manage tips or loyalty programs.
