We’re looking for an Online Community Support specialist who knows that behind every username is a real person — and you treat them that way. You’ll be the steady, positive presence that keeps our digital spaces running smoothly and feeling human. Your day-to-day will include welcoming new members, responding to questions, moderating discussions, and creating small moments of connection that build long-term loyalty. This isn’t just moderation — it’s community care. You’ll work closely with marketing, support, and product teams to surface feedback, flag recurring issues, and share insights on what people are loving (or not). This role isn’t just about moderation — it’s about creating meaningful engagement: you’ll start conversations, highlight member wins, encourage contributions, and keep the energy alive even on quiet days.
Basic Qualifications:
- Monitor conversations to ensure discussions stay respectful, helpful, and aligned with community guidelines.
- Keep tabs on community sentiment—what people love, what annoys them, what they’re confused about.
- Track common questions or feedback and turn them into FAQs, guides, or helpful posts to reduce repetition.
- Be available for community members across time zones, adjusting schedules when needed for live events or bursts of activity.
- Use tools like Discord bots, Notion, or Sprout Social to manage workflows, posts, and reporting.
Preferred:
- Can communicate with users respectfully, even in tense or critical situations.
- Can identify and handle spam, inappropriate behavior, or trolling calmly and professionally.
- Understands the balance between freedom of expression and maintaining order.
- Understands how to maintain a positive atmosphere and enforce community guidelines.
- Background or strong interest in communications, psychology, digital media, or customer success.
