Description:

We’re hiring a Medical Registrar Trainee who’s ready to step into the administrative side of healthcare and support smooth patient flow in a clinical setting. You’ll start by observing how patient data is recorded, updated, and handled with confidentiality and accuracy. You’ll assist with registering new patients, checking identification, and verifying insurance or referral information. You’ll learn how to keep patient records updated, from appointment history to medical notes, while protecting patient privacy at all times. You’ll help answer phones, book consultations, and coordinate with doctors and nurses to manage daily schedules. You will support the coordination of communication between patients, departments, and medical personnel. You’ll be trained in using hospital information systems, coding basics, and internal workflows to ensure each case is logged correctly. You’ll support doctors by preparing files for consultations and making sure records are complete and accessible. You’ll monitor waiting room activity and help keep delays managed through polite and efficient updates.

Basic Qualifications:

• Supervise and mentor interns or medical students during clinical rounds and procedures.
• Assess and manage patients in inpatient wards, emergency departments, or specialty clinics.
• Engage in clinical audits, quality improvement projects, or research activities when possible.
• Review investigation results daily and update management plans accordingly.
• Conduct thorough patient histories, physical exams, and develop differential diagnoses.

Preferred:

• Pays close attention to patient history, comorbidities, and risk factors in both acute and chronic care.
• Comfortable participating in clinical audits, research activities, or quality improvement projects.
• Knowledge of clinical guidelines, protocols, and evidence-based practices within their specialty area.
• Background or specialization in internal medicine, surgery, emergency medicine, pediatrics, or another hospital-based field.
• Able to manage acute cases, lead ward rounds, and supervise junior doctors and interns effectively.
