Description:

We’re hiring a Public Utility Worker to help maintain public squares, promenades, and waterfront spaces — perfect for someone who enjoys open-air environments and takes pride in the beauty and order of shared spaces. You’ll perform a variety of outdoor maintenance tasks including street cleaning, park upkeep, and facility support. You’ll assist with removing litter, sweeping sidewalks, and emptying trash bins in public areas on a set schedule. You’ll be trained to operate tools like valve keys, hydrant wrenches, pressure gauges, and inspection cameras. You’ll assist with lane striping, reflector placement, and painting road markings under supervision of senior workers. You’ll assist in cleaning playgrounds, benches, grills, fountains, and other park fixtures to ensure safe and sanitary use. You’ll help prep event spaces, install signage or barricades, and support public gatherings by setting up benches, bins, or barriers. You’ll be taught how to respond to urgent reports like fallen signage, sinkholes, or blocked storm drains quickly and safely. You’ll assist with basic facility maintenance such as restroom cleaning, minor repairs, and restocking supplies in public buildings.

You’ll receive ongoing safety training and mentorship focused on night visibility, noise protocols, and accident prevention.
