Description:

We’re hiring a Cashier who knows how to make people feel welcome — someone who brings a friendly smile, clear communication, and great energy to every shift. You’ll process purchases accurately, handle different payment types, and ensure every customer feels acknowledged and respected. You’ll operate the register, scan items, process payments, and handle returns while keeping everything accurate and efficient. You’ll keep your workspace clean, your drawer balanced, and your attention sharp from open to close. You’ll learn how to stay organized, count change accurately, and keep your station clean and ready for the next guest. You’ll be taught how to handle common issues, like price checks or coupon questions, with patience and professionalism. You’ll follow cash handling procedures and keep an eye out for any issues that need a supervisor’s attention. You’ll help restock small items near the register and make sure the front of the store looks tidy and inviting. You’ll offer loyalty programs or promotions in a natural, helpful way — never robotic or pushy.

Basic Qualifications:

• Process returns and exchanges accurately while checking receipts and item condition.
• Provide correct change and issue receipts with a smile and clear communication.
• Greet customers warmly and process purchases quickly and accurately at the register.
• Support coworkers when needed, whether it's stocking shelves or helping with cleanup.
• Promote loyalty programs, discounts, or upsells when appropriate without being pushy.

Preferred:

• Pays close attention to accuracy when scanning items, applying discounts, and processing returns.
• Willing to help de-escalate conflicts calmly and refer customers to supervisors when needed.
• Comfortable standing for long shifts and working weekends, holidays, or closing hours.
• Familiar with safety and loss prevention procedures, including recognizing suspicious behavior.
• Able to remain calm and courteous during peak hours, long lines, or customer complaints.
