Description:
We’re hiring a Medical Laboratory Technician who knows that accuracy isn’t optional — it’s everything. You don’t need to have years of experience — just a careful mindset, a willingness to follow procedures, and a true respect for accuracy. Your primary focus will be learning the correct procedures for sample collection support, labeling, storage, and controlled transfer within the laboratory chain of custody. You will assist in daily equipment checks, basic calibrations, and maintaining environmental conditions required for certified diagnostic operations. You’ll be trained to understand how lab results influence diagnoses, and why getting it right — even behind the scenes — changes everything. When something doesn’t look right, you won’t guess — you’ll recheck, recalibrate, and confirm before moving forward. You’ll check your work twice, catch what others miss, and raise a hand when something feels off. You’ll be encouraged to ask questions, take notes, and repeat tasks until they feel natural and precise. You’ll communicate clearly with your team and know when to ask for a second set of eyes. Whether you’re running panels, preparing slides, or logging results, you’ll bring the same focus to every task.
Basic Qualifications:
- Contribute ideas for workflow optimization, equipment upgrades, or procedural improvements to improve turnaround times.
- Perform quality control procedures and calibrations to maintain equipment accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Participate in internal audits, external inspections (e.g., CLIA, CAP), and staff training sessions to ensure lab compliance and quality.
- Keep current with new testing methods, laboratory techniques, and industry standards through continued education or training.
- Support training of new lab staff or interns by demonstrating procedures and reviewing safety protocols when required.
Preferred:
- Follows strict protocols for specimen labeling, preparation, and storage to ensure test validity.
- Comfortable communicating with medical staff regarding specimen status or unusual findings.
- Thrives in clean, structured, and safety-focused healthcare environments.
- Capable of handling time-sensitive and high-volume workloads with precision.
- Willing to work rotating shifts, weekends, or on-call schedules in a 24/7 lab environment.
Benefits:
- We provide high-quality instruments, clear protocols, and safety-first culture — your role is respected and protected.
- You’ll have input into workflow design, equipment upgrades, and procedural improvements.
- Access to advanced analyzers, LIS systems (like Epic Beaker or SoftLab), and automated tools that reduce repetition and increase accuracy.
- You’ll work in a calm, respectful setting where science and care meet.
- Every correct result, flagged anomaly, or clean run you contribute helps save lives quietly but powerfully.
You’ll juggle repetition and responsibility without losing patience or letting things slide. You’ll grow at your own pace, with encouragement, feedback, and the full support of a team that remembers what it’s like to be new. You won’t be rushed — we’re more interested in helping you build long-term skills than checking boxes. You’ll attend briefings, observe test batching, and learn how labs manage high sample volumes without compromising traceability. You’ll start small, but everything you do — every test you touch — plays a role in helping someone get answers they need. You’ll observe how interdisciplinary teams interact, and how lab results integrate with clinical workflows across departments. You’ll develop a foundational understanding of medical diagnostics — not from theory, but from applied practice and precision. You’ll begin as an observer, but you’re expected to grow into a contributor — someone trusted to perform basic procedures to protocol. If you’re ready to build serious technical habits, work under strict standards, and grow in a professional medical lab setting — we’re ready to train you properly.
