Description:

We’re hiring an Electrician for emergency service calls — ideal for someone who thrives under pressure, solves problems fast, and keeps calm in unpredictable situations. You’ll install outlets, light fixtures, panels, and switches during home builds, renovations, and service visits. You’ll handle lighting systems, emergency backups, breaker panels, access controls, and HVAC electrical connections. You’ll be responsible for diagnosing issues like flickering lights, outlet failures, and overloaded circuits in high-use environments. You’ll use a stocked service vehicle with tools, breakers, wire, PPE, and diagnostic equipment to work independently in the field. You’ll work with building management to ensure code compliance, plan upgrades, and maintain accurate maintenance logs. You’ll interact with homeowners directly, explaining your work and offering helpful advice on usage, safety, or energy savings. You’ll work both indoors and outdoors, sometimes in tight spaces, crawl areas, attics, or at height. You’ll document your work, log inspection reports, and track repair history in CMMS or maintenance systems.

Basic Qualifications:

• Work safely on ladders, rooftops, or in crawlspaces while wearing appropriate PPE.
• Follow lockout/tagout procedures and electrical isolation protocols during maintenance.
• Upgrade outdated panels, wiring, or systems to meet modern load demands.
• Supervise apprentices or junior electricians, offering guidance on proper techniques and safety.
• Connect circuit breakers, outlets, switches, lighting systems, and control panels properly.

Preferred:

• Willing to communicate clearly with clients, supervisors, and other tradespeople on job sites.
• Experience installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems in residential, commercial, or industrial settings.
• Open to working varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and overtime for urgent jobs.
• Capable of working independently or within a larger construction or facilities maintenance team.
• Understands the handling of low-voltage systems, grounding, and surge protection methods.

You’ll be trained to follow residential building codes, fire safety protocols, and GFCI/AFCI regulations. You’ll follow strict lockout/tagout procedures, arc flash safety standards, and PPE protocols on every job. You’ll be trained to respond quickly to power failures, control faults, or shutdown scenarios with calm precision. You’ll rotate between projects, scheduled maintenance, and emergency repairs depending on plant demand. You’ll be expected to climb ladders, access electrical rooms, and work in hot, loud, or confined environments. You’ll receive support from a lead technician or supervisor who helps assign tasks and manage building priorities. Previous experience in an industrial setting is preferred, but candidates with a strong work ethic and willingness to train are welcome.
