Description:

We’re looking for a skilled Discord Server Designer to create an engaging, organized, and welcoming environment for our community. You’ll be responsible for creating an inviting, easy-to-navigate layout that encourages positive interaction among members. Your role involves setting up channels, categories, and roles to optimize the user experience and encourage interaction. Your creativity will shine through in custom server graphics, including banners, emotes, and icons that give the community a unique identity. You’ll ensure that each server is organized, clean, and functional while still reflecting the brand’s personality and tone. You’ll ensure that each section of the server serves a clear purpose, creating a space that’s both functional and visually pleasing. You’ll incorporate bots and automations to streamline tasks, enhance interaction, and improve member management. You’ll create clear guidelines for server usage, maintaining a balance between structure and freedom. You understand how to balance aesthetics and functionality — making sure everything has a purpose while still looking visually appealing.

Basic Qualifications:

• Regularly review feedback from users and iterate on the server design to keep it fresh, organized, and engaging.
• Design and structure Discord servers that are clean, user-friendly, and aligned with the community’s goals and identity.
• Implement roles, permissions, and access logic that balance security, functionality, and ease of use.
• Design event channels, discussion threads, and temporary categories to support seasonal or time-limited activities.
• Craft server aesthetics—from emojis and banners to role colors and channel icons—that match the brand or community vibe.

Preferred:

• Can document the server layout for team members or future admins.
• Knows how to create onboarding flows using embeds, reaction roles, or select menus.
• Understands community-building through structured channels, events, and announcements.
• Open to improving the server structure based on user feedback and analytics.
• Comfortable customizing emojis, server icons, banners, and visual branding elements.
