Description:

We’re hiring an Electrician for emergency service calls — ideal for someone who thrives under pressure, solves problems fast, and keeps calm in unpredictable situations. You’ll install outlets, light fixtures, panels, and switches during home builds, renovations, and service visits. You’ll assess each situation on-site, identify the root cause, and make safe, temporary or permanent repairs depending on conditions. You’ll be responsible for installing conduit, cable trays, bus bars, and grounding systems according to safety codes. You’ll perform routine maintenance on panels, circuit breakers, and control systems to prevent future issues. You’ll communicate clearly with clients under stress, explaining the issue, risks, and repair plan in a calm, professional tone. You’ll conduct preventive maintenance on motors, relays, VFDs, lighting systems, and backup power sources to reduce downtime. You’ll document each job thoroughly, including time of arrival, actions taken, materials used, and photos of damage and resolution. You’ll coordinate with janitorial, security, HVAC, and IT departments when electrical work overlaps with their systems.

Basic Qualifications:

• Take pride in work that quite literally keeps the lights on—safely and reliably.
• Follow lockout/tagout procedures and electrical isolation protocols during maintenance.
• Ensure all work complies with national and local electrical codes and safety standards.
• Connect circuit breakers, outlets, switches, lighting systems, and control panels properly.
• Communicate clearly with customers, explaining complex issues in easy-to-understand language.

Preferred:

• Understands the handling of low-voltage systems, grounding, and surge protection methods.
• Values safety, precision, and integrity in all aspects of electrical work.
• Capable of conducting routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and upgrades to existing systems.
• Willing to perform work in confined spaces, attics, rooftops, or underground locations when required.
• Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, multimeters, and other electrical testing equipment.
