Description:

We’re hiring a Caregiver to provide compassionate support for clients in palliative or end-of-life care — ideal for someone who can offer calm, respectful presence during life’s most delicate moments. You’ll assist with personal care routines such as bathing, changing, repositioning, and mouth care with gentleness and dignity. You’ll prepare light meals, help manage special diets, and ensure regular hydration throughout the day. You’ll work alongside nurses, hospice teams, and family members to honor the individual’s wishes and care plan. You’ll support light housekeeping such as laundry, dishes, and tidying up to maintain a safe and clean living environment. You’ll be trained to recognize signs of pain, restlessness, or decline and respond promptly with grace and alertness. You’ll provide steady companionship through listening, reminiscing, watching TV together, or reading aloud. You’ll rotate shifts that include quiet overnight presence, daytime care, or support during family visitation hours. You’ll be trained in fall prevention, nighttime mobility support, and gentle repositioning techniques.

Basic Qualifications:

• Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Follow personalized care plans while being attentive to changing needs or comfort levels.
• Ensure a safe living environment by preventing falls, hazards, or medication mismanagement.
• Follow hygiene and infection control standards to protect both client and caregiver.
• Help with mobility—transferring, walking support, or wheelchair assistance.

Preferred:

• Pays attention to small details like hydration, sleep habits, or emotional changes that may affect well-being.
• Values empathy, responsibility, and reliability in caregiving roles.
• Organized with tracking routines, monitoring behaviors, and documenting changes for healthcare providers or family members.
• Understands how to respond to emergencies calmly and notify family members or supervisors promptly.
• Experience providing personal care, companionship, or assistance with daily living activities for seniors, individuals with disabilities, or patients recovering from illness.
