Description:

We are seeking a Medical Registrar Intern who is motivated to gain structured administrative experience within a professional healthcare environment. You’ll begin by observing experienced staff as they register patients, manage queues, and handle sensitive data with care. You’ll assist with checking in patients, confirming their personal and medical details, and ensuring everything is correctly entered into the system. You will be trained to manage appointment bookings, cancellations, and referrals using approved scheduling platforms. You will help prepare patient files, ensuring that all documentation is complete, properly formatted, and stored according to policy. You will support the coordination of communication between patients, departments, and medical personnel. You’ll communicate directly with patients — in person, by phone, or via email — offering clear, compassionate support. You will gain familiarity with healthcare terminology, insurance forms, and regulatory standards such as data protection compliance. You’ll support our administrative team during peak hours, lending a hand wherever needed to keep things flowing smoothly.

Basic Qualifications:

• Ensure timely handovers by clearly communicating patient status, concerns, and follow-up tasks.
• Engage in clinical audits, quality improvement projects, or research activities when possible.
• Take the lead in managing acutely ill or deteriorating patients, including initiating resuscitation protocols.
• Work closely with consultants, junior doctors, and nursing staff to deliver coordinated care.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, initiate treatments, and adjust care plans as needed.

Preferred:

• Able to manage acute cases, lead ward rounds, and supervise junior doctors and interns effectively.
• Familiar with electronic health records (EHRs), medication charts, and multidisciplinary care planning.
• Experience working in hospital settings with direct responsibility for patient assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
• Open to collaborating with nursing staff, allied health professionals, and consultants.
• Comfortable interpreting diagnostic tests, imaging, and lab results to guide clinical decisions.
