Description:

We’re looking for a Clinical Psychologist Trainee who’s ready to observe, learn, and grow in a professional mental health setting — no clinical experience required, just compassion, focus, and a genuine desire to help people heal. You’ll assist in preparing case summaries, organizing patient files, and reviewing psychological literature relevant to active cases. We’ll teach you how to handle sensitive client data, organize psychological assessments, and recognize patterns in client behavior. You’ll learn how to document progress, track behavioral patterns, and participate in debriefs with licensed psychologists. Expect to learn how to build therapeutic rapport, maintain confidentiality, and support clients through vulnerable conversations. You’ll support the development of worksheets, psychoeducational content, and group materials for use in therapy. You’ll support the preparation of worksheets, feedback forms, and emotional regulation exercises used in sessions. You’ll sit in on supervised sessions (where appropriate) and participate in debriefings with the clinical team. You’ll gain awareness of how culture, background, and environment affect client experiences and therapeutic rapport.

Basic Qualifications:

• Maintain clear professional boundaries while still being warm, present, and human.
• Respond to crises calmly and with clear protocols to protect patient safety.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, social workers, and medical staff to ensure holistic care.
• Track patient progress over time and adjust therapeutic approaches as needed.
• Respect cultural, gender, and socioeconomic differences in every aspect of your clinical work.

Preferred:

• Background or specialization in clinical psychology, behavioral health, trauma therapy, or assessment.
• Comfortable working in clinical, educational, hospital, or private practice settings.
• Licensed or certified clinical psychologist with a graduate degree in psychology, counseling, or a related field.
• Open to working with diverse populations and addressing cultural, social, or identity-related topics in therapy.
• Familiar with maintaining clinical notes, treatment plans, and outcome tracking in accordance with ethical standards.
