Description:

We’re looking for a Nanny Trainee who’s interested in learning how to care for infants and toddlers with gentleness, structure, and attention to detail. You’ll assist in creating a safe, loving environment where kids can grow, play, and feel supported every day. You’ll help with basic care such as feeding, diaper changes, dressing, and guiding children through their daily routines. You’ll help create a calm, stimulating space where children feel encouraged to ask questions and express themselves freely. You’ll assist with sterilizing bottles, organizing baby supplies, and maintaining a clean, safe nursery space. You’ll observe how to introduce tummy time, age-appropriate sensory play, and gentle verbal engagement. You’ll support toddler transitions from crawling to walking, bottle to cup, and help encourage new skills step by step. You’ll learn how to guide behavior gently, using positive reinforcement and simple, clear boundaries. You’ll learn how to engage children in storytelling, crafts, games, and light educational exercises based on their age and needs.

Basic Qualifications:

• Encourage respectful behavior, emotional expression, and social skills through positive guidance.
• Be flexible—children are unpredictable, and plans often change on the fly.
• Maintain confidentiality and respect the family’s privacy and parenting style at all times.
• Stay up to date on basic first aid, CPR, and child safety practices.
• Read books, play games, and offer creative outlets like arts and crafts or music time.

Preferred:

• Patient, nurturing, and calm when handling temper tantrums, sibling conflicts, or emotional needs.
• Comfortable preparing nutritious meals and snacks based on the child’s dietary needs or parental guidelines.
• Willing to accompany children to parks, libraries, playdates, or appointments safely and responsibly.
• Familiar with basic child development milestones and engaging children in age-appropriate learning activities.
• Organized with managing the child’s clothing, toys, hygiene routines, and personal belongings.
