Description:

We’re seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Online Research Assistant to support our team with accurate and insightful research. You’ll conduct in-depth online research, compiling information from reliable sources and presenting it in an organized manner. You’ll focus on identifying key trends, insights, and data points that will help our team make informed decisions. You’ll track and organize research findings, making sure key insights are easily accessible to the team. You’ll organize research findings into reports, presentations, and summaries that are clear, concise, and easy for the team to digest. You’ll identify trends and patterns within data, helping guide our strategic decisions and future actions. You’ll help with competitor analysis, market research, and gathering data for product development or marketing purposes. You’ll help with both qualitative and quantitative research, depending on the project’s needs. You’ll work across a variety of topics, from market research to industry analysis, adapting your approach based on the project.

Basic Qualifications:

• Conduct detailed internet research on assigned topics, compiling accurate, relevant, and up-to-date information from credible sources.
• Above all, treat every task as a puzzle—your job is to find the best, most useful information and package it clearly.
• Ask clarifying questions when a research request is vague or overly broad—better to narrow the scope than waste time.
• Be flexible with task formats—some days it’s heavy reading, other days it’s quick validation or fact-checking.
• Keep backups of your work and links in case pages change or disappear later.

Preferred:

• Enjoys digging deep into unfamiliar topics and learning along the way.
• Knows how to organize findings into presentations, reports, or reference documents.
• Can track changes, update files, and keep research organized for collaborative teams.
• Has worked with briefs or instructions and can deliver structured research results.
• Familiar with tools like Google Docs, Notion, Airtable, or Excel for tracking data.
