Description:

We’re hiring Phlebotomist Trainees for our blood donation center — no experience needed, just enthusiasm, attention to detail, and a warm, welcoming attitude. You’ll be trained to collect blood samples from infants, toddlers, and young children in a way that’s safe, clean, and as stress-free as possible. We’ll teach you how to prepare the space, engage with families, and explain procedures in kid-friendly language. We’ll teach you how to collect samples with minimal disruption, follow strict safety protocols, and navigate the hospital calmly at night. Every child is different — some cry, some freeze, some ask questions — and you’ll learn how to respond with patience and care. Patients may be elderly, homebound, or managing chronic conditions — your ability to explain, reassure, and respect their space is just as important as your technique. You’ll assist in both outpatient clinics and hospital settings, seeing everything from routine labs to urgent collections. We’ll train you in infection control, time management, and what to do when things don’t go as planned — like hard-to-find veins or unexpected situations. You’ll work alongside night nurses, lab techs, and emergency staff, gaining real experience in hospital operations when the world is quiet.

Basic Qualifications:

• Monitor patients for dizziness or fainting and respond quickly if needed.
• Greet patients with kindness and ease their anxiety about the procedure.
• Follow all safety and hygiene protocols to protect both yourself and the patient.
• Be a team player, jumping in to help coworkers when the schedule gets tight.
• Take pride in your role—small vials, big impact on someone’s health.

Preferred:

• Comfortable collecting blood samples via needle, fingerstick, or heelstick when necessary.
• Comfortable working in fast-paced environments with high patient volumes and time-sensitive samples.
• Enjoys working hands-on and supporting diagnostic teams through accurate specimen collection.
• Pays close attention to patient identity verification and test requisition accuracy.
• Organized with documentation, tube handling, and maintaining clean, stocked workstations.
