We’re looking for a Remote Onboarding Specialist who knows how to make new hires feel like part of the team — even from miles away. You believe the first week at a company should be exciting, not confusing. You’ll guide new hires through their first weeks, ensuring they never feel lost, ignored, or overwhelmed. From tools access to team intros, you’ll handle the details that make the difference between “confused” and “confident. ” You’ll build playbooks, record welcome videos, and turn routine info into something people actually want to read. Your day might start with setting up accounts and end with hosting a virtual coffee chat. Clarity, kindness, and timing will be your superpowers. You’ll partner with different departments to align onboarding with real-world workflows and expectations. If you’ve ever created a Notion workspace just to help a friend get organized — this is your kind of job.
Basic Qualifications:
- Gather feedback from new hires to continuously improve the onboarding experience and reduce confusion or friction.
- Make the onboarding process feel human and welcoming, even through a screen—people remember how you made them feel.
- Help with offboarding as well when needed—graceful exits matter as much as smooth entries.
- Support global or remote-first teams by adjusting onboarding flows based on time zones, roles, or contract types.
- Host virtual orientation sessions to walk new hires through company values, tools, communication norms, and key contacts.
Preferred:
- Comfortable working across time zones and coordinating asynchronously.
- Familiar with remote tools like Zoom, Slack, Google Workspace, and Notion.
- Comfortable setting up calendar invites, email accounts, and access permissions.
- Understands the unique needs of remote hires and how to make onboarding engaging.
- Understands the importance of first impressions and a smooth start for new employees.
