Description:

We’re hiring an Illustrator Trainee who’s passionate about turning abstract ideas into clear, expressive visuals — no prior experience needed, just creativity, patience, and a love for drawing. You’ll assist in producing illustrations for campaigns, social media, product visuals, and branded content. We’ll teach you how to follow style guides, work within design systems, and ensure your illustrations serve both function and story. You’ll support senior illustrators and art directors by preparing rough sketches, variations, and final assets. Expect to learn how to simplify complex ideas visually while keeping your work lively, relatable, and well-balanced. You’ll gain experience working with tools like Illustrator, Photoshop, Fresco, or traditional sketching — whatever your style is, we’ll help refine it. We’ll support your stylistic development while also showing you how to adapt to brand voice and audience. We’ll guide you in understanding how illustration supports brand identity, storytelling, and emotional tone. You’ll learn to receive feedback constructively and iterate based on composition, contrast, clarity, and rhythm.

Basic Qualifications:

• Collaborate with animators or developers when illustrations need to move or be interactive.
• Maintain version control and backup your files so no good art ever gets lost.
• Translate abstract or technical ideas into visuals that make people feel or understand something instantly.
• Develop character designs, scenes, icons, infographics, or decorative elements as needed.
• Participate in creative reviews, brainstorms, and storyboarding when illustrations are part of a larger campaign.

Preferred:

• Able to follow a brief and adapt illustration style to suit different audiences and brand voices.
• Can balance client vision with creative exploration and offer visual storytelling solutions.
• Wants to grow into roles like Lead Illustrator, Art Director, or Visual Storyteller.
• Experience creating illustrations for books, branding, social media, games, or editorial use.
• Thrives in artistic, feedback-friendly environments with room for exploration and precision.
