Description:
We’re looking for a Flight Dispatcher who can think like a pilot, act like a strategist, and stay calm when everything is in motion. You won’t wear a pilot’s wings, but you’ll carry just as much responsibility. While passengers sip coffee at the gate, you’ll already be deep into wind speeds, pressure maps, and runway conditions. You’ll monitor air traffic, reroute flights due to weather or emergencies, and communicate updates with clarity and urgency. Each flight plan you build will be tailored for safety, fuel efficiency, and time — and then tested against reality in real-time. You’ll monitor en route progress, alert crews to hazards, and adjust plans in real-time when the unexpected happens. This is not a passive role — you’ll be in the loop for every aircraft in your care, from wheels up to touchdown. You’ll brief pilots, sync with ATC, and coordinate with crew operations — making complex logistics look effortless. You’ll stay calm under pressure, knowing that your job is to bring order and confidence when the skies grow unpredictable. You’ll be a reliable voice pilots trust — even at 3 a.
Basic Qualifications:
- Ensure full compliance with aviation regulations (e.g., FAA, EASA, ICAO) and internal airline safety standards.
- Balance safety, efficiency, cost, and customer service across all dispatch responsibilities.
- Respond rapidly to emergency or irregular operations (IROPs), including delays, mechanical issues, diversions, or re-routing needs.
- Prepare and file flight plans with the appropriate aviation authorities and update plans dynamically as needed.
- Authorize flight releases and ensure proper documentation of flight plans, weight and balance, fuel calculations, and crew limits.
Preferred:
- Background or certification in aviation, air traffic management, or flight operations.
- Interested in improving dispatch efficiency, minimizing disruptions, and supporting punctual departures.
- Able to calculate fuel requirements, alternate routes, and payload limitations accurately.
- Strong multitasking skills and attention to detail under time-sensitive conditions.
- Comfortable working in a high-pressure environment where safety is the top priority.
Benefits:
- Your decisions will be backed by data, policies, and experienced colleagues — not guesswork.
- You’ll build flight plans, analyze aircraft performance, manage delays, and adjust to dynamic conditions in real time.
- You’ll work in a structured but calm environment, where communication is clear and escalation is fast when needed.
- You’ll be recognized for your ability to stay cool in high-stakes moments — and that skill grows every day.
- Access to industry-grade dispatch systems (e.g. Lido, Sabre, Jeppesen), flight tracking tools, and weather monitoring platforms.
This role isn’t for the easily distracted — it’s for the focused, the composed, the ones who love the weight of responsibility. You’ll manage multiple flights at once, prioritizing by risk, timing, and impact with expert judgment. You’ll be a master of multitasking — keeping track of dozens of flights, timelines, and variables at once. Every flight you touch becomes more than a plan — it becomes a promise of safe passage. You’ll use the latest dispatch software but rely just as much on your instincts and experience. You’ll embrace the pressure, knowing that your choices impact lives, timelines, and entire operations. If you’re passionate about aviation, think like an engineer, and react like a firefighter, this is where you belong — at the nerve center of every journey. If you think fast, stay sharp, and take pride in precision, this isn’t just a job — it’s your runway. If you think in maps, listen to the weather, and find peace in control — welcome to dispatch.
