Description:

We’re looking for an experienced Discord Moderator to join our team and help manage our growing online community. You’ll be responsible for maintaining a positive and respectful environment on our Discord server, ensuring that all users follow community guidelines. You’ll assist in resolving conflicts, addressing inappropriate behavior, and fostering healthy interactions within the community. You’ll help organize and manage events, including discussions, games, and announcements, to keep the community engaged and active. You’ll help organize and moderate community events, ensuring engagement and participation from all members. You’ll stay active in the community, participating in discussions and ensuring that members adhere to server rules. You’ll collaborate with the community management team to gather feedback, track trends, and suggest improvements for the community experience. You’ll moderate voice and text channels to ensure the server remains friendly, informative, and free of spam or disruptive behavior.

Basic Qualifications:

• Help track server suggestions, bug reports, and user feedback—passing them on to admins or developers as needed.
• Participate in mod meetings, contribute to rule updates, and stay aligned with the overall tone and goals of the community.
• Use slowmode, lockdowns, or channel-specific permissions when needed to control chaos during raids or drama.
• Help test new bots, features, or server changes before they’re rolled out to the whole community.
• Answer member questions, resolve minor conflicts, and create a friendly, inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome.

Preferred:

• Background or interest in online communities, gaming, education, or fan spaces.
• Pays attention to chat flow and can recognize spam or inappropriate behavior.
• Familiar with Discord and actively participates in servers as a community member.
• Organized and responsive, especially when it comes to scheduled shifts or task reminders.
• Can follow instructions and communicate well with other moderators or team leads.
