Description:

We’re hiring a Painter to join our finishing crew on new construction and renovation projects — perfect for someone who’s precise, deadline-driven, and understands the importance of a flawless final impression. You’ll prepare surfaces by sanding, scraping, patching, and priming to ensure smooth, long-lasting coverage. You’ll prepare walls, ceilings, and trim by patching, sanding, priming, and smoothing surfaces after drywall installation or repairs. You’ll follow client instructions and color specs to match tones, textures, and finishes exactly as requested. You’ll help set up and break down containment areas, scaffolding, and ventilation systems before and after each job. You’ll help mix paint to match specified colors and maintain consistency across large surfaces and multi-day projects. You’ll tape, cover, and protect freshly installed cabinetry, floors, and fixtures before painting begins. You’ll assist in mixing multi-part coatings, monitoring cure times, and ensuring environmental conditions are optimal. You’ll be expected to complete daily job logs, report material usage, and communicate progress to supervisors.

Basic Qualifications:

• Protect adjacent surfaces with drop cloths, tape, and coverings before painting begins.
• Operate lifts or extension poles for high-reach areas while maintaining balance and safety.
• Use brushes, rollers, or spray guns to achieve smooth, even finishes.
• Mix and match paints to achieve specific colors or finishes based on project requirements.
• Inspect completed work for touch-ups or inconsistencies and make adjustments as needed.

Preferred:

• Background or interest in construction, property maintenance, or decorative finishes.
• Enjoys transforming spaces through color, texture, and attention to surface detail.
• Wants to grow into roles like Lead Painter, Foreman, or Decorative Finishes Specialist.
• Understands how to apply stains, sealants, or specialty finishes to wood, metal, or concrete surfaces.
• Willing to protect furniture, floors, and fixtures using drop cloths, tape, and coverings.

Experience is helpful but not required — we’ll train those with the strength, balance, and focus to work safely at height.
