Description:
We’re hiring Auto Mechanic Trainees who are ready to start over — whether you’re coming from retail, construction, IT, or a desk job you were never passionate about. You’ll work under the guidance of experienced technicians, learning everything from oil changes to diagnostics — with time, tools, and real mentorship. You’ll join a shop that’s safe, respectful, and serious about creating an environment where women can thrive, grow, and lead in the mechanical world. You’ll be taught how to read service manuals, follow repair orders, and approach every task with focus and respect for safety. You’ll inspect vehicles thoroughly, explain findings honestly, and never guess when safety is on the line. ” You’ll learn how to lift safely, use tools properly, identify wear, and catch early warning signs — the stuff that makes a mechanic valuable, not replaceable. You’ll complete repairs efficiently without cutting corners — because quality always outranks speed in our shop. You’ll work on real vehicles, touch real engines, and be part of real repairs — with supervision, feedback, and support every day. You’ll learn how to think mechanically: to spot wear, hear unusual sounds, and troubleshoot the cause — not just the symptom.
Basic Qualifications:
- Order parts as needed or coordinate with parts departments to ensure timely access to required components.
- Test drive vehicles before and after service to confirm repairs and ensure proper function and performance.
- Remain calm and solution-focused when facing complex or intermittent issues that require in-depth testing.
- Communicate clearly with service advisors or customers to explain diagnostics, recommended repairs, and cost estimates.
- Perform emissions testing, alignments, tire mounting/balancing, and AC system recharges using proper equipment.
Preferred:
- Proven experience diagnosing and repairing a wide range of vehicle systems including engines, brakes, and suspensions.
- Enjoys problem-solving and working with their hands to keep vehicles running reliably.
- Values precision, safety, and honest workmanship on every repair job.
- Experience using shop management systems or repair tracking software is a plus.
- Comfortable reading and interpreting service manuals, wiring diagrams, and repair instructions.
Benefits:
- Discounts on vehicle services and parts — we’ve got your back for your ride too.
- Enjoy a clean work environment, with a team that keeps things organized and efficient.
- A culture that celebrates skill, dedication, and a job well done.
- Learn and grow with access to training programs — we invest in your skills.
- A tool allowance and discounts on parts — because we want you to have the best gear.
” You’ll receive guidance and feedback every step of the way, so you’re building confidence as you build skill — not guessing or faking it. You’ll be treated like a learner, not a laborer — with time, tools, and training that help you build skill, not just sweat. You’ll earn respect by doing things right, cleaning up after yourself, checking torque specs, and not being afraid to say “I’m not sure — can you show me? ” You’ll be part of a team that’s proud to teach — because many of us also started in other industries before we found our way to the shop floor. You’ll be part of a team that respects each other’s craft — where every lift has standards, and every repair earns trust. You’ll finish each shift with new knowledge, clean tools, and the kind of earned respect that has nothing to do with gender — and everything to do with your work ethic. You’ll stop feeling like “just another number at work” — and start building a career that uses your hands, your mind, and your pride together. If you believe a great mechanic is measured by consistency, honesty, and pride in the work — you’ll feel right at home here.
