Description:

We’re looking for an Animator Trainee who sees movement as design in motion — someone who’s ready to learn how rhythm, spacing, and exaggeration can transform still art into dynamic storytelling. You’ll assist in creating animations for characters, UI elements, environments, and effects across games, videos, or interactive projects. We’ll teach you animation principles like timing, squash and stretch, anticipation, and how to apply them in different styles. You’ll study acting principles and learn how to translate emotion into posture, rhythm, and subtle gestures. Expect to use tools like After Effects, Spine, Blender, or Maya — depending on the project and your learning goals. You’ll learn how to balance animation length, readability, and reactivity based on gameplay needs. You’ll help animate walk cycles, reaction shots, idle animations, and emotional beats — all with a focus on storytelling. You’ll participate in feedback sessions where we refine motion together — based on flow, rhythm, and intention. Expect to help with animation cleanup, cycle tuning, and ensuring actions blend well with mechanics and feedback.

Basic Qualifications:

• Refine animation based on feedback from creative leads, directors, or clients.
• Follow the project’s art direction and maintain consistency across all animated elements.
• Maintain a high attention to detail, especially in fast-paced or high-volume pipelines.
• Create fluid, expressive animations for characters, objects, or environments in 2D or 3D formats.
• Ensure timing, movement, and weight feel believable—even in stylized or exaggerated animation styles.

Preferred:

• Proficient in animation software such as Adobe After Effects, Toon Boom Harmony, Blender, or Maya.
• Values movement as a storytelling tool and emotional amplifier.
• Able to sync animation to voiceovers, sound effects, or music cues when needed.
• Able to balance visual style, performance constraints, and storytelling clarity.
• Enjoys making things come to life through gesture, rhythm, and visual impact.
