Description:

We’re hiring a Shoe Repair Specialist for our mall-based service kiosk — ideal for someone who’s fast, friendly, and ready to restore footwear in a high-traffic setting. You’ll handle walk-in repairs from customers looking for quick fixes, custom upgrades, and same-day results. You’ll be trained to patch mesh, replace worn midsoles, fix heel drag, and reattach toe guards or outsoles. You’ll replace heels, re-glue soles, stitch torn uppers, and polish shoes while customers browse or shop nearby. You’ll offer fast services like lace replacements, heel guard installations, and weatherproof treatments in under 30 minutes. You’ll help explain repair options to clients who may not know what’s possible, building trust through transparency and skill. You’ll assess each pair carefully, recommending repairs or alternatives based on structure, material, and cost. You’ll assist with protective sole installation, adhesive repairs, and preventive treatments using travel-safe materials. You’ll assist with dye touch-ups, color matching, and leather blending for premium shoe restoration.

Basic Qualifications:

• Ensure high-quality workmanship while meeting turnaround times and deadlines.
• Provide friendly customer service, answering questions and offering care advice for different shoe types.
• Offer additional services like belt shortening, bag stitching, or leather care when appropriate.
• Diagnose shoe damage and provide customers with clear repair options and price estimates.
• Explain what’s repairable and what’s not, managing expectations with honesty and professionalism.

Preferred:

• Values precision, durability, and tradition in every repair.
• Experienced in communicating with customers about service expectations and pricing clearly and respectfully.
• Familiar with working on different materials like leather, suede, rubber, canvas, and synthetic fabrics.
• Able to handle a high volume of repairs while maintaining consistent quality and attention to detail.
• Thrives in quiet, skill-focused environments where patience and technique make a difference.
