Description:

We’re looking for an Illustrator Trainee who’s ready to turn creativity into a craft — no formal experience required, just artistic instinct, dedication, and a hunger to evolve as a visual storyteller. You’ll work on real illustration tasks for marketing, education, branding, and digital media alongside senior creatives. We’ll teach you how to follow style guides, work within design systems, and ensure your illustrations serve both function and story. You’ll assist in creating characters, environments, and decorative elements that reflect tone, audience, and style direction. Expect to learn how to simplify complex ideas visually while keeping your work lively, relatable, and well-balanced. You’ll gain experience working with tools like Illustrator, Photoshop, Fresco, or traditional sketching — whatever your style is, we’ll help refine it. We’ll guide you in understanding how your illustrations function within a broader design system or narrative. You’ll learn how to adapt your style when needed — whether minimalist, playful, detailed, or expressive. You’ll help prepare illustrations for multiple formats, ensuring proper dimensions, resolutions, and file types.

Basic Qualifications:

• Participate in creative reviews, brainstorms, and storyboarding when illustrations are part of a larger campaign.
• Support social media, editorial, or motion teams with quick turnaround assets when needed.
• Collaborate with animators or developers when illustrations need to move or be interactive.
• Maintain version control and backup your files so no good art ever gets lost.
• Translate abstract or technical ideas into visuals that make people feel or understand something instantly.

Preferred:

• Enjoys bringing ideas, emotions, or narratives to life through illustration.
• Stays updated on illustration trends, social media aesthetics, and creative industry standards.
• Willing to create mood boards, style frames, or sketches as part of the ideation process.
• Knows how to prepare print-ready files with bleed, trim, and CMYK profiles.
• Pays attention to visual consistency, proportions, and emotional expression in illustration work.
