Description:

We’re hiring a talented and creative Video Editor to join our remote team and produce high-impact videos for various platforms. You’ll be responsible for editing raw footage, adding sound effects, music, and creating polished videos that align with our brand vision. You’ll collaborate with the content team to develop ideas and implement creative strategies to meet business and marketing objectives. You’ll work on a wide range of video projects, including promotional content, brand storytelling, and social media videos. You’ll ensure the video content is engaging, visually compelling, and optimized for each platform, from YouTube to Instagram and beyond. You’ll be responsible for ensuring videos are optimized for different platforms and screen sizes to maximize engagement. You’ll collaborate with other creatives to brainstorm and execute new video concepts and ideas that resonate with viewers. You’ll incorporate motion graphics, text overlays, and animations to enhance the storytelling and impact of each video.

Basic Qualifications:

• Organize project files, b-roll, audio, and assets for efficiency and easy collaboration using tools like Google Drive, Frame.io, or Dropbox.
• Incorporate feedback with a flexible mindset—tight turnarounds are common, and clarity is key.
• Cut, trim, and arrange clips for flow and pacing, adding transitions, titles, music, sound effects, and motion graphics as needed.
• Keep backup files and export presets handy so work isn’t lost and render time is efficient.
• Help brainstorm new video formats, hook ideas, or editing styles to improve viewer retention and engagement.

Preferred:

• Willing to stay updated on editing trends and content performance.
• Able to work with motion graphics, templates, or basic animation (e.g., After Effects).
• Comfortable working with vertical and horizontal formats across multiple platforms.
• Comfortable syncing audio, adding subtitles, and applying effects or color correction.
• Capable of editing under tight deadlines while maintaining quality and creativity.

You’ll track and analyze video performance across platforms, offering insights and suggestions for improving future videos.
