Description:
We’re looking for a Medical Laboratory Technician trainee who’s ready to start a meaningful career by learning how real lab work impacts real lives. You’ll handle blood, tissue, and fluid samples with care, focus, and full responsibility for what comes next. From blood draws to slide preparation, from centrifuge to analyzer — you’ll know each step, and why it matters. You’ll process tests efficiently, but never at the expense of quality or precision. You’ll be trained to understand how lab results influence diagnoses, and why getting it right — even behind the scenes — changes everything. You’ll be surrounded by professionals who value your effort and will help you grow into someone they can trust at any bench in the room. , CLIA, ISO, or local regulations). You’ll stay calm under pressure — whether it’s an urgent STAT order or a full rack of samples waiting on your bench. You will be exposed to hematology, microbiology, immunoassay, and biochemistry benches — not for speed, but for process understanding. You’ll begin to understand how lab values connect to patient symptoms, how flags are reviewed, and when results need a second check.
Basic Qualifications:
- Participate in internal audits, external inspections (e.g., CLIA, CAP), and staff training sessions to ensure lab compliance and quality.
- Respect patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA and institutional privacy policies when accessing or transmitting sensitive data.
- Adhere to detailed protocols to avoid cross-contamination, specimen mislabeling, or diagnostic delays.
- Operate and maintain lab equipment including microscopes, centrifuges, analyzers, and spectrophotometers to ensure accurate test results.
- Collect, prepare, and analyze biological specimens such as blood, urine, tissue, or swabs following strict laboratory protocols.
Preferred:
- Background in laboratory science, medical technology, or clinical diagnostics.
- Comfortable working with lab information systems (LIS) and accurately recording test results.
- Values precision, reliability, and adherence to scientific and ethical standards.
- Organized with documentation, test requisitions, and daily workflow priorities.
- Follows strict protocols for specimen labeling, preparation, and storage to ensure test validity.
Benefits:
- Breaks are real, PPE is stocked, and you’ll never be left to guess without support.
- You’ll have input into workflow design, equipment upgrades, and procedural improvements.
- You’ll never be rushed without reason — accuracy always comes before speed.
- Your consistency, clarity, and sterile technique are recognized, not taken for granted.
- We provide high-quality instruments, clear protocols, and safety-first culture — your role is respected and protected.
You’ll help maintain inventory, order supplies, and ensure that nothing essential runs out when it matters most. You’ll grow at your own pace, with encouragement, feedback, and the full support of a team that remembers what it’s like to be new. You’ll contribute to internal quality control programs and help your lab stay audit-ready at all times. You’ll have moments of routine, but also those small “a-ha” insights when something finally clicks — and we’ll celebrate that with you. Supervisors will provide structured feedback, and your progress will be reviewed against clearly defined technical competencies. You’ll leave each shift knowing you contributed to something bigger, even if you never saw the patient face-to-face. You’ll develop a foundational understanding of medical diagnostics — not from theory, but from applied practice and precision. You’ll begin as an observer, but you’re expected to grow into a contributor — someone trusted to perform basic procedures to protocol. If you’re ready to build serious technical habits, work under strict standards, and grow in a professional medical lab setting — we’re ready to train you properly.
