We’re looking for a Freelance Resume Writer who can listen, interpret, and transform a client’s experience into job-winning language. You know that a resume is more than a document — it’s a first impression that can change someone’s life. You’ll work directly with clients to understand their experience, strengths, and goals. Your job is to highlight what matters, cut what doesn’t, and structure everything for impact and clarity. You understand how to format for readability, keyword optimization, and that all-important professional polish. You’ll work with clients via forms, messages, and occasional video calls to gather insights and shape content. You’ll edit ruthlessly, format cleanly, and write with both recruiters and ATS in mind. Tone, voice, and clarity matter — and you know how to adjust them to fit each client’s personality and target role. You’ll communicate directly with clients, offering insights and revisions that build trust and clarity.

Basic Qualifications:

• Design clean, modern layouts that enhance readability without overwhelming ATS systems (using Word, Google Docs, Canva, etc.).
• Refine your tone to match the role—from formal for C-level, to dynamic for creatives, to punchy for startups.
• Write clear, concise, and achievement-focused resumes tailored to the client’s industry, role, and level of experience.
• Maintain confidentiality and treat every resume with care—it’s someone’s career on the page.
• Handle multiple projects at once without sacrificing quality, tone, or personalization.

Preferred:

• Knows how to write resumes for freelancers, career changers, and recent graduates.
• Familiar with tools like Google Docs, Canva, or Microsoft Word for document creation.
• Pays attention to layout, consistency, and design without overcomplicating visuals.
• Can tailor resumes to specific job descriptions and employer expectations.
• Capable of adapting writing style to match tone — professional, creative, or executive.
