Description:

We’re looking for a motivated Security System Installer Trainee — someone who’s good with their hands, eager to learn, and ready to enter the world of smart protection. No background in security or electronics? You’ll start by assisting on real installations: unboxing smart devices, organizing cables, and prepping work areas. We’ll teach you how to drill safely, mount cameras properly, and run cable with precision behind walls and ceilings. We’ll train you to handle sensors, cameras, control panels, and backup systems that silently stand guard 24/7. You’ll be shown how to mount devices, connect control panels, and test systems for reliability and accuracy. Expect to use drills, testers, crimping tools, cable fishers, and mobile tablets as part of your daily work. Expect variety — every site is different, every layout unique, and every client needs a solution that fits them. You’ll gain confidence reading floorplans, running cable cleanly, and spotting problems before they happen.

Basic Qualifications:

• Explain to customers how to use their new systems in simple, clear language.
• Install security systems like cameras, motion detectors, and alarm panels in homes and businesses.
• Be available for emergency repairs or support calls when necessary.
• Review blueprints or client needs to determine the best placement for devices.
• Provide maintenance and upgrades when systems need a refresh or add-ons.

Preferred:

• Communicates clearly with customers and team leads regarding timelines, service options, or technical issues.
• Able to document completed installations with photos, checklists, and client sign-off forms.
• Organized with tracking tools, parts inventory, and job completion logs.
• Understands basic electrical wiring, low-voltage circuits, and safe handling of tools and equipment.
• Thrives in hands-on, technical, and mission-critical environments where attention to detail matters.
