Description:

We’re hiring a Loader Trainee to support cargo handling at our maritime terminal — ideal for someone who’s physically ready, alert, and curious about large-scale global logistics. You’ll begin by helping move boxes, pallets, and goods from delivery trucks into storage zones, always following safety procedures. You’ll be taught how to lift and carry heavy items safely, using proper posture and teamwork for awkward or oversized loads. You’ll help with strapping, bracing, and securing shipments inside containers using safety-approved methods. You’ll work alongside crane operators, forklift drivers, and logistics coordinators to stage goods safely and efficiently. You’ll gain awareness of heavy machinery zones, learning where to walk, when to wait, and how to signal for movement. You’ll support loading trucks for early deliveries, matching items to store orders and verifying quantities against pick lists. You’ll assist in weatherproofing cargo during rain, wind, or salt-heavy conditions to protect materials and packaging. You’ll rotate between general labor tasks like sweeping, collecting scrap, or assisting with tool movement between teams.

Basic Qualifications:

• Stay focused and alert—especially in noisy or fast-moving environments like loading docks.
• Keep loading areas clean, clear of obstacles, and compliant with safety regulations.
• Follow company procedures and safety protocols at all times—no shortcuts.
• Double-check load accuracy to reduce delays, returns, or safety issues down the line.
• Wear required protective gear like gloves, vests, and steel-toed boots during all tasks.

Preferred:

• Able to work night shifts, early mornings, weekends, or overtime depending on shipping schedules.
• Wants to grow into roles like Forklift Operator, Loading Supervisor, or Dock Coordinator.
• Enjoys hands-on, movement-based work and being part of a results-driven logistics team.
• Values hard work, reliability, and accuracy in physically demanding roles.
• Physically fit and able to lift, carry, and move heavy items consistently throughout the shift.

You’ll help with restocking shelves or staging areas, preparing the facility for the next day’s operations. You’ll help load equipment back onto trucks at the end of the day and ensure nothing is left behind or misplaced. You’ll learn how to time your workflow around inbound and outbound cutoffs, optimizing every hour of your shift.
