Description:

We’re looking for a Pastry Decorator who specializes in turning imagination into edible reality — someone who loves crafting one-of-a-kind cakes and desserts that make every celebration unforgettable. You’ll be responsible for decorating cakes, cupcakes, cookies, and other specialty pastries with consistency, elegance, and creativity. You’ll work with delicate techniques like hand-painted florals, gold leaf application, sugar sculpting, and advanced fondant modeling. You’ll collaborate with bakers and clients to understand themes, color palettes, and customization requests. You’ll lead decoration for multi-tiered cakes, petits fours, plated desserts, and limited-edition product drops. You’ll follow custom order sheets carefully and make sure every personalized request is honored — names spelled right, colors matched, sizes correct. You’ll help prep décor elements in batches, from sugar flowers to piped embellishments and painted accents. You’ll test and refine new design ideas, contributing to seasonal collections and exclusive client offerings. You’ll contribute to seasonal collections, new menu items, and display concepts that reflect current trends and customer tastes.

Basic Qualifications:

• Ensure consistent quality by following recipes, color guides, and design references.
• Document and label orders to avoid mix-ups, especially with personalized messages or complex designs.
• Replicate existing designs or create original ones based on client briefs or seasonal trends.
• Adapt designs quickly when last-minute changes or constraints arise.
• Follow hygiene and food safety standards at every step of the decorating process.

Preferred:

• Pays close attention to color harmony, symmetry, and detail in every decoration.
• Open to feedback and enthusiastic about continuously improving decoration skills.
• Willing to assist in general bakery tasks like mixing, baking, or packaging when decoration tasks are complete.
• Experience decorating cakes, cupcakes, pastries, or cookies for events, bakeries, or custom orders.
• Knows how to handle delicate decorations, temperature-sensitive ingredients, and storage requirements.
