Description:

We’re looking for a skilled Discord Server Designer to create an engaging, organized, and welcoming environment for our community. You’ll be in charge of designing the structure of the server, ensuring that each channel has a clear purpose and is easy to navigate. Your creativity will shine through in custom channel layouts, user roles, and graphics that make the server feel alive and welcoming. You’ll work closely with community managers to ensure the server is safe, fun, and inclusive for all members. You’ll integrate bots and other tools to enhance server functionality and automate tasks that make the community run smoothly. You’ll collaborate with the community management team to keep the space safe, friendly, and inclusive for all members. You’ll ensure the server is structured for optimal user engagement, keeping it organized and user-friendly at all times. You’ll troubleshoot issues, implement new features, and make updates to keep the server running smoothly. You understand how to balance aesthetics and functionality — making sure everything has a purpose while still looking visually appealing.

Basic Qualifications:

• Collaborate with community managers, moderators, or content creators to ensure the server serves its purpose—whether it’s social, support, education, or sales.
• Craft server aesthetics—from emojis and banners to role colors and channel icons—that match the brand or community vibe.
• Design event channels, discussion threads, and temporary categories to support seasonal or time-limited activities.
• Stay updated with new Discord features (forum channels, events, stickers, threads) and decide when/how to implement them.
• Create intuitive channel layouts, category hierarchies, and naming conventions to guide users and reduce clutter.

Preferred:

• Pays close attention to channel naming conventions, readability, and logical grouping.
• Familiar with using third-party integrations like Zapier, Tally forms, or webhook systems.
• Familiar with bots like MEE6, Dyno, Carl-bot, or custom bots for automation and interaction.
• Able to design intuitive server layouts with welcome channels, rules, and role assignment flows.
• Can document the server layout for team members or future admins.
