As a trainee, you’ll be expected to observe closely, take notes, and help where needed without hesitation. You’ll learn how to report issues, follow up on open tickets, and stay on top of routine inspections. You’ll help with routine inspections, note any issues, and assist in minor repairs across the building. You’ll walk a lot, climb stairs, lift equipment, and sometimes get dusty — but you’ll always be supported.

Basic Qualifications:

• Work with hand and power tools to complete tasks like patching drywall, painting, changing light bulbs, or repairing door hardware.
• Operate and monitor building systems such as boilers, chillers, fire alarms, and security systems under supervision or per checklist.
• Assist with furniture setup, workstation moves, or minor renovations as directed by building management.
• Ultimately, keep the building running smoothly, safely, and efficiently by solving problems before they become bigger issues.
• Respond to after-hours emergencies (e.g., power outages, water leaks, security alarms) according to building protocols.

Preferred:

• Values reliability, resourcefulness, and technical skill in keeping buildings safe and functional.
• Wants to grow into roles like Maintenance Supervisor, Building Engineer, or Facility Manager.
• Able to inspect and troubleshoot issues with lighting, locks, doors, restrooms, or appliances.
• Thrives in environments where no two days are exactly the same and work has a direct impact.
• Familiar with basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry repairs.
