Description:

We’re looking for a Junior QA Tester to join our team and ensure the quality and functionality of our software products. You’ll be responsible for executing manual tests, identifying defects, and collaborating with developers to fix issues before release. You’ll create and execute test plans, ensuring thorough coverage of all features and maintaining a high standard of quality. You’ll assist in writing test cases, validating software performance, and ensuring compliance with product requirements. You’ll perform manual testing, focusing on functionality, usability, and compatibility, ensuring the software delivers a flawless user experience. You’ll track defects using bug tracking tools, maintaining accurate records of identified issues and their resolutions. You’ll collaborate with product managers and developers to understand project requirements and develop appropriate testing strategies. You’ll work closely with the product team to understand requirements and provide feedback on potential improvements.

Basic Qualifications:

• Use browser dev tools to inspect elements, console errors, and network requests when troubleshooting issues.
• Contribute ideas to improve test flows, user experience, or clarity of error messages.
• Help maintain bug databases and categorize issues by severity, impact, and reproduction rate.
• Test across multiple devices, browsers, and screen sizes to ensure consistent behavior and responsiveness.
• Test forms, buttons, navigation flows, and APIs with a user-first mindset—what would confuse or frustrate a real person?

Preferred:

• Thrives in detail-oriented work and contributes to building a more reliable product.
• Background or interest in software development, quality assurance, or tech in general.
• Knows how to review UI/UX for consistency and spot layout or responsiveness issues.
• Pays close attention to details and enjoys finding inconsistencies or edge cases.
• Understands the importance of testing from the user’s perspective.
