Description:

As a Remote Onboarding Specialist, you’ll be the first friendly face (or voice) our new hires meet — and that matters. You believe the first week at a company should be exciting, not confusing. You’ll guide new hires through their first weeks, ensuring they never feel lost, ignored, or overwhelmed. You’ll manage onboarding checklists, schedule intros with team members, and make sure no question goes unanswered. You’ll schedule kickoff calls, coordinate orientation materials, and keep everyone in the loop (without overwhelming them). Think of yourself as the host of a virtual welcome party — making sure everyone feels seen, heard, and set up for success. You’ll create checklists, FAQs, and onboarding documents that answer questions before they’re asked. You’ll track progress across onboarding milestones, send reminders, and celebrate small wins along the way. You’ll keep tabs on multiple onboarding tracks without dropping the ball, thanks to your next-level follow-up skills.

Basic Qualifications:

• Coordinate welcome emails, training schedules, system access, and intro calls to ensure a smooth first week experience.
• Use tools like Slack, Zoom, BambooHR, Gusto, or custom dashboards to automate and streamline onboarding tasks.
• Gather feedback from new hires to continuously improve the onboarding experience and reduce confusion or friction.
• Be proactive—anticipate what new hires might need before they ask and get ahead of potential issues.
• Celebrate new hire milestones—first week, first project, first win—to keep energy and motivation high.

Preferred:

• Experience guiding new hires or clients through onboarding processes remotely.
• Familiar with remote tools like Zoom, Slack, Google Workspace, and Notion.
• Understands the unique needs of remote hires and how to make onboarding engaging.
• Able to explain procedures, tools, and company culture in a clear, welcoming way.
• Can coordinate between HR, IT, and team leads to ensure everything is ready on day one.
