We’re hiring a Security System Installer Trainee who’s excited about smart homes, automation, and making technology work for safety. No background in security or electronics? Your first tasks will be simple: carrying equipment, organizing tools, and watching how experienced techs work on-site. You’ll assist experienced technicians on real job sites — homes, offices, shops — learning how systems are set up in different environments. Expect to handle drills, ladders, testers, and other equipment while being trained on proper safety protocols. You’ll learn how to connect hubs, run diagnostics, and update firmware to ensure everything works smoothly. Expect to learn how to route cables cleanly, avoid signal interference, and connect systems safely to power and networks. You’ll be part of real-world installs in homes, stores, and offices, seeing how we turn plans into protection. We’ll guide you in understanding system layouts, battery backups, wireless signal ranges, and router placement.

Basic Qualifications:

• Ensure every system is installed to prevent blind spots or weak points.
• Diagnose system errors using testing devices or software.
• Climb ladders, drill holes, and mount equipment neatly and safely.
• Update firmware or configure apps when smart systems are involved.
• Explain to customers how to use their new systems in simple, clear language.

Preferred:

• Comfortable reading blueprints, technical diagrams, or installation manuals to determine optimal device placement.
• Experience installing and configuring security systems including CCTV, alarms, access control, and motion detectors.
• Understands basic electrical wiring, low-voltage circuits, and safe handling of tools and equipment.
• Able to troubleshoot and repair faulty hardware or signal issues during or after installation.
• Willing to travel to job sites and manage multiple installs per week with minimal supervision.
