Description:

We’re looking for a WordPress Assistant who knows their way around the dashboard like it’s second nature and isn’t afraid to get their hands dirty with plugins, themes, and a little bit of HTML/CSS. You’ve probably helped launch sites, fix bugs, update content, and troubleshoot the occasional plugin meltdown — all without breaking a sweat. From uploading blog posts and creating new pages to managing plugins and tweaking theme settings, you’re someone who gets things done without needing constant direction. You’re familiar with common plugins like Yoast, WPForms, and WooCommerce, and you’re not afraid to dive into settings or troubleshoot plugin conflicts when needed. Maybe you’ve migrated a few sites, optimized image sizes, or set up contact forms that *actually* work. You’re comfortable following brand guidelines, updating menus, and organizing content so that everything is easy to find and navigate.

Basic Qualifications:

• Keep the media library clean by compressing, labeling, and organizing image files for performance and accessibility.
• Use staging environments to test updates or new features before applying them to production.
• Communicate with hosting providers or domain registrars when needed to resolve issues or adjust settings.
• Stay familiar with popular themes and plugins, and learn when to use what based on project needs.
• Stay proactive about flagging potential issues or suggesting UX improvements based on user behavior.

Preferred:

• Has basic troubleshooting skills when plugins conflict or pages break visually.
• Understands the importance of website security and regular updates.
• Follows instructions carefully and documents changes when editing live sites.
• Able to install, activate, and configure simple plugins with guidance.
• Experience editing content, pages, or blog posts within the WordPress dashboard.
