Description:

We’re hiring a Manicurist Trainee to join our creative nail design studio — perfect for someone who’s artistic, detail-oriented, and ready to express beauty through nail art and extensions. You’ll start by learning how to prep natural nails properly for long-lasting extensions and designs. You’ll assist with shaping nails, caring for cuticles, and gently exfoliating hands using botanical scrubs and oils. You’ll be trained to use forms, tips, and sculpting techniques to build strong, well-balanced nail structures. You’ll support pedicure services by preparing foot baths, exfoliating heels, and moisturizing skin using salon protocols. You’ll learn how to execute popular styles like ombré, marble, French fade, chrome, or matte finishes. You’ll be taught to work without drills or aggressive tools, focusing on preserving the integrity of the natural nail. You’ll be taught how to present yourself professionally, speak confidently, and respect the privacy and preferences of each client. You’ll receive coaching on client interaction — polite conversation, attentive silence, and when to speak or simply serve.

Basic Qualifications:

• Use electric files, UV lamps, and other equipment properly and safely.
• Perform manicures and pedicures, including nail shaping, cuticle care, exfoliation, and massage.
• Handle nail art, decals, rhinestones, and freehand designs for special events or custom looks.
• Recommend nail treatments, colors, or styles based on client needs and current trends.
• Maintain a professional appearance and represent the salon’s standards and values.

Preferred:

• Open to handling back-to-back appointments and peak salon hours with professionalism and patience.
• Willing to upsell treatments, nail care packages, or retail products to enhance service value.
• Thrives in stylish, fast-paced environments where beauty, precision, and service come together.
• Certified or trained in manicure and pedicure services with a solid understanding of nail anatomy and hygiene.
• Able to maintain detailed records of client preferences, allergies, and past services.
