We’re in search of an Online Chat Moderator who thrives in fast-moving digital environments and knows how to keep conversations respectful, clear, and community-driven. In this role, you’ll be actively monitoring live chats, group discussions, and community platforms to ensure everyone feels safe, heard, and supported. Your job isn’t just to silence negativity — it’s to help foster a space where real conversations can happen. You should have excellent judgment, the ability to remain neutral, and a knack for diffusing conflict with tact and clarity. Whether it’s a busy livestream or a quiet support channel, you’ll know when to step in and how to communicate effectively. You should be quick on your feet, able to handle high volumes of messages, and comfortable using moderation tools like bans, mutes, and reports without overreacting.

Basic Qualifications:

• Advocate for community needs by sharing feedback with developers or marketing when appropriate.
• Balance moderation with genuine interaction—people should feel heard, not policed.
• Be a calm, neutral presence in heated moments, de-escalating tension before it spreads.
• Flag and report technical issues, bugs, or suspicious behavior to the appropriate internal teams.
• Escalate complex issues or repeat offenses to senior moderators or community managers.

Preferred:

• Interested in digital careers such as community management, social media, or customer support.
• Currently studying communication, psychology, media, or related fields.
• Willingness to learn moderation tools, guidelines, and escalation procedures.
• Interest in keeping online spaces safe, inclusive, and engaging for users.
• Eager to build experience in a digital support or moderation role.
