Description:
We’re looking for a Manual QA Tester who believes that real quality isn’t just about finding bugs — it’s about protecting the user experience from confusion, frustration, or failure. You’ll be responsible for validating features, verifying edge cases, and ensuring every release meets our quality standards. You’ll execute structured test cases, but also think freely to test the weird, the unexpected, and the forgotten corners of the product. You’ll execute test cases, provide feedback on usability, and report bugs with clear, step-by-step instructions. We’ll count on you to spot inconsistencies, broken flows, and UI glitches before they reach our users. We’ll rely on you to verify bug fixes, ensure regressions haven’t occurred, and confirm that features meet expectations. You’ll maintain a healthy list of test scenarios and update them as features evolve. We’ll count on you to see what others overlook, raise concerns early, and always advocate for the user’s perspective. You’ll test across multiple builds, log environments, and work within sprint cycles to deliver fast, stable releases. We expect you to be methodical, patient, and persistent — especially when reproducing tricky bugs that only happen “sometimes.
Basic Qualifications:
- Stay calm and focused when deadlines are tight or builds are buggy—you're the safety net.
- Suggest usability improvements even when they’re outside the bug report scope.
- Test across browsers, devices, and operating systems to ensure consistency and compatibility.
- Help write and maintain test cases and test plans as features evolve.
- Follow test cases step by step—and go beyond them when your instincts say 'something feels off'.
Preferred:
- Experience performing manual testing on web, mobile, or desktop applications across different platforms and browsers.
- Able to write clear, detailed, and reproducible bug reports using tools like Jira, Trello, or ClickUp.
- Willing to participate in daily standups, sprint planning, and retrospective meetings.
- Comfortable using tools like Postman, Charles Proxy, or browser developer tools to inspect APIs or front-end behavior.
- Capable of verifying bug fixes and validating acceptance criteria for user stories.
Benefits:
- You’ll help prevent disasters before they hit production — hero mode unlocked.
- We don’t just dump tasks — we share context, goals, and respect.
- Weekly bug hunts with prizes (and snacks, if in-office).
- We celebrate bug-free builds like birthdays (with cake, yes).
- When the product works flawlessly — we know *who* made that happen.
We’ll guide you in logging and prioritizing issues by severity, frequency, and user impact. You’ll also be encouraged to contribute ideas that improve usability and reduce confusion — not just break/fix. You don’t need automation skills to start — just strong logic, patience, and the desire to help a product succeed. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys getting into the details, staying organized, and being the voice of the user. We’ll support you with onboarding, tools, mentorship, and opportunities to grow into more advanced QA or product roles. By the end of your first months, you’ll be a key part of our release rhythm, helping us ship confidently and responsibly. If you take pride in delivering things that *just work* — we’re ready for you to join the team. By the end of your first release cycle, you’ll be trusted, respected, and irreplaceable on the QA team. If you believe quality is in the details — and you know where to look — we’re ready for you to test with us.
