Description:
We’re looking for a Cook who can handle the heat — someone who moves fast, stays sharp, and turns ingredients into comfort, flavor, and consistency every shift. You don’t need experience — just a real interest in cooking, a good attitude, and the willingness to try your best every shift. You’ll work closely with your kitchen team to ensure timing, flavor, and consistency are always in sync. You’ll follow recipes and portion guides closely to ensure every plate meets quality and presentation standards. You’ll maintain a clean and organized station, following food safety standards and hygiene practices with discipline. You’ll communicate clearly with servers and other cooks to time dishes correctly and avoid bottlenecks during rushes. You’ll be expected to adapt quickly, whether helping on grill, sauté, pantry, or assisting with bulk prep during events. You’ll help with morning prep or evening close-down depending on your shift, and take responsibility for your tools and space. You’ll take feedback well, ask questions when unsure, and aim to get a little better every week.
Basic Qualifications:
- Prepare meals according to recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including sanitizing surfaces and tools.
- Work quickly without sacrificing safety, especially when handling knives, fryers, or hot pans.
- Ensure food is cooked safely, thoroughly, and consistently in both taste and appearance.
- Check freshness of ingredients and rotate stock to prevent spoilage or waste.
Preferred:
- Familiar with reading and following recipes, portion guidelines, and kitchen prep lists.
- Willing to help with mise en place, inventory rotation, and checking for freshness or spoilage.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment under pressure during busy hours.
- Open to early morning, evening, weekend, or holiday shifts as needed.
- Pays strong attention to timing, food safety, and cleanliness during all stages of food preparation.
