Description:

We’re seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Online Research Assistant to support our team with accurate and insightful research. You’ll be responsible for gathering information from credible online sources, ensuring all findings are relevant and up-to-date. You’ll track down relevant, credible information, making sure it’s up-to-date and aligned with the team’s needs. You’ll track and organize research findings, making sure key insights are easily accessible to the team. You’ll assist with market research, competitor analysis, and finding actionable trends that can guide decision-making. You’ll use various online tools, including search engines, academic databases, and industry reports, to conduct thorough research. You’ll ensure all research materials are accurate, credible, and up-to-date by carefully verifying sources and facts. You’ll verify the accuracy of information, cross-checking multiple sources to ensure credibility and reliability. You’ll also be tasked with staying on top of emerging trends and best practices to ensure the team remains informed.

Basic Qualifications:

• Be flexible with task formats—some days it’s heavy reading, other days it’s quick validation or fact-checking.
• Break down complex topics into digestible summaries—bullets, tables, or visual snippets help people absorb info fast.
• Document your sources properly, including date, author, and link, to support transparency and credibility.
• Support content creators or strategists by finding real-life examples, quotes, statistics, or visuals to enrich their work.
• Update existing research reports or databases with fresh info as it becomes available.

Preferred:

• Comfortable verifying facts, dates, or quotes to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Experience conducting research for academic, marketing, business, or content projects.
• Comfortable using Google search operators, databases, and industry-specific sources.
• Open to receiving feedback and refining results for clarity or focus.
• Understands how to tailor research to client needs, including tone, depth, and relevance.
